Appreciation

It has been said that the depth of one’s grief after a loss is a measure of love they had for someone when they are alive. As the family of the late Dr. Patrick Anyango Orege, we would like to extend our thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all those who provided moral, spiritual, material and financial support to us following the demise of our patriarch on I I th August, 2021.

We would like to thank the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga for thinking of us. Your support to our family and recognition of the contribution that our father made to this country is a beacon of hope, a reminder that there are many people sharing our grief. In addition, we are immensely thankful to the political leadership for the support they showed us as we bid farewell to Daktari.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Frank Mwongera, Dr. Dedan Opondo, Dr. Julius Okell, Dr. M.O.G Owiti, Dr. Josephine Ojoo and Dr. Edwin Oduor for the care and professional attention you accorded our father.We want you to know you helped us more than you know, along with your practical support and messages of sympathy.

To the Kolaka Clan, who provided friendship and a deep sense of belonging to Daktari, thank you for the instrumental role you played in shaping his destiny. To the funeral coordinating team, your gesture of support in our time of need is immeasurable. Thank you for reaching out. To the GX Group, GX Lets, Pentagon Group, G-potters, the Doctors’ fraternity ably represented by Dr. John Ong’ech, the Legal, Accounting and Engineering fraternities, loving others well comes from the sincerity of a kind and compassionate heart. We have experienced these attributes from you in abundance during our time of loss.

To the Bondo Medical Centre Staff and Suppliers we would like to say thank you for your prayers, financial and emotional support during this difficult time. To the Anglican Diocese of Bondo led by Bishop David Kodia, Maranda ACK Parish, we thank you for the pastoral care you gave Daktari when he was still among us. We also thank you for making us understand that life blooms again through kindness, and we are grateful for all the love you have shown us in prayer.

To the staff of the Renal unit and ICU at Avenue Hospital Kisumu, our heartfelt appreciation goes to you for your commitment in caring for Daktari. We are forever indebted to you.

To all our friends, relatives, colleagues and associates, who spoke the kindest words any friend would say or just thought of us during this period, we thank you so much for whatever part you played.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an expression of our deepest gratitude May   God bless you and your families abundantly.
