Dr. Titus Pirishon Lanyasunya PhD, OGW

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that the Lanyasunya family announces the passing of Dr. Titus Pirishon Lanyasunya PhD, OGW, at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi on 2nd June, 2018 following a short illness. Until his passing, Dr. Lanyasunya was the Director of the Dairy Research Institute at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) in Naivasha.

Son of the late Mr. Leutian Lanyasunya and Kutuntae Lanyasunya. Husband of Faustine and Melody. Father of Lynn Ntupunywa, Oliver Loramat, Faith Nashipae, Joan Nasas, Philomena Natiyan, Diana Namunyak and Nobert Parakuo. Son-in-law of the late Mr. Lepolol Letiwa and Mary Letiwa, Mr. Lekuuk and Napiyase Lekuuk. Brother of Nasas Lekirishati, the late Esekia, Ambassador John Lepi Lanyasunya – High Commissioner of Kenya to Canada, the late Philip, Ltatian, Lempapa, George, Janas Lentaaya and the late Lepaitan. Step brother of Nkitanta and Baklas. Brother-in-law of the late Mr. Lekirishati, Mr. Lentaaya, Stephanie Sitain, Olina Natulan, Jenerica Nang’ida and Joy. Cherished cousin and uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Seasons Hotel, Maralal from 4:30pm and at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from 5:00pm.

A Requiem Mass will be held at Consolata Shrine, Westlands on Thursday, 21st June 2018 at 9:30am.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday 22nd June, 2018 at 9:00am for Maralal, Samburu County.

The funeral service and burial will be held at his Lolkunono Farm on Saturday 23rd June, 2018 from 9:30am.
