It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mama Drusilah Bonareri Matonda which occurred on 17th January 2020 after a short illness.
Wife of the late Jesai Matonda and co-wife of the late Sibia Nyambunde Matonda. Mother of Priscilla Ondigi, the late Monicah Otoki, Jeniffer Obutu. Charles Matonda (USA), the late Callen Aiko, Rose Nyandieka, the late Vane Matonda, Risper Ongwae, Eric Kiyega, Linet Mayoyo and Mariamu Oigara. Step-mother of Sarah Okirigiti, the late Bathseba Gisemba, Abigael, Moraa Tunai, Benjamin Matonda, John Matonda, Kwamboka and Yunuke Michori. Mother-in-law of Winnie Matonda, Everlyn Kiyega, Prisca Nyamweya and the late Phoebe Kerage. Sister of the late Mongina Nyatama, the late Bosibori Ngare, the late Nyamusi Okwani, Drusilah Bonaren the late Momanyi Nyabengi, Simeon Omambia, Alice and Allan Nyabengi. Grandmother of Brenda Ogero (USA), Valerie Ogero (USA), Jesse Ogero (USA), Angela Ogero (USA), Sylvia Kiyega, Adrian Kiyega, Juliet Kiyega Ondieki Ondigi, Wycliffe Onyinkwa, Brian Nyandieka among others.
The cortege leaves Hema Hospital mortuary Kisii on Thursday 30th January at 11am to her home at Chibwobi village, Gesusu, Masaba south sub-county, Kisii county. Burial will be on 31st January at 3pm.
May God rest her soul in eternal peace.
