It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of Gods will that we announce the death of Mayi Edith Nafula Makokha at Shalom Hospital, Nairobi on Thursday 3rd March 2022.
She was wife to the late Henry Makokha Wangoywa, daughter of Rev. Charles Kapuru Wakhisi and the late Rebecca Ongachi.
Mother to Erick Wanyonyi, Roselyne Silima (Immigration), Wycliffe Juma (Kenya Power) and John Wanyama. Co-wife to Beatrice Nafula Makokha.
Step-mum to Susan, Edwin, Elizabeth, Janerose, Julius, Doris, Matayo, Pauline and Clementina. Sister to Francis Munyinda Wakhisi, the late Herbert Mupalia, Phoebe Nekesa, the late Julius Rambanya, Eunice Namachanja, Kennedy Mukonambi, David Wafula and the late Martin Simiyu. Cousin to Benson, Newtown, Evans, Rispah, Peter, Boseline, Dr Maurice Barasa, the late Bishop Julius Macheusi among others. Sister in-law to Isaac Wandili, Francis Wakoli, Grace Fedha, Alfred Wanjala, Beatrice Ford, Barasa Wangoywa, Joyce Silako, Wekesa Wangoywa, John Jembe, Sammy Mwadziwe among others. Grandmother to Yvonne, Shaban, Bravin, Branon, Charles, Rebecca, Avril, Matayo, Luka, Delia and Jason Toili. Aunt to Maurice, Joseph, Fred, Mary, Pauline, Angela, Alex, Silima, Lilian,Wanakhavi, Mark, Mercy, Arnold among others. Mother in-law to Eng. Cleophas Makokha, Christine, Susan and Milka.
The cortege leaves Lugulu Funeral Parlour on Friday 11th March 2022 at 3.00pm for her Sirende Home.
Funeral service and burial will be held on 12th March 2022 at her Sirende Home, Webuye Constituency, and Bungoma County.
In God’s hands you rest Mum and in our hearts you are forever cherished.
Poleni sana , jipeni moyo ! Kusudi la kuandika ni kushiriki nanyi maandiko machache ambayo yatawapa faraja na tumaini .
Yehova Mungu atawapa nguvu na faraja (2 Kor 1:3,4 ) kwa sababu yeye ni Mungu wa faraja yote , kwa kusoma neno lake Biblia mtapata nguvu za kusonga mbele.
Kupitia kifo cha Yesu , tuna tumaini la kuishi tena kwa sababu kifo na ufufuo wa Yesu kilifunguwa njia kwa wale wanaodhihirisha imani katika fidia ya Yesu ( Yohana 3:16).
Naam ! Kifo sio mwisho wa mambo yote , tuna tumaini la ufufuo wa wafu Yesu alifundisha hilo kwenye Yohana 5:28,29.
