It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion of glory of retired Elder Elizabeth Wakonyu Mwitari.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Mwitari Maganjo, daughter of the late Kiruki Kanyi & late Peris Waruguru. Loving mother of the late Samuel Maganjo, Margaret Ngima & Charles Muhoro, Phyillis Gathoni & the late Patrick Macharia, Cecilia Wamuyu & Ephantus Mathenge, Zilpah Gathigia & John Mutua, Geoffrey Kiruki & Esther Wanjiku, the late Ann Wandia, Eng. James Ndoria & Emma Wangari, Dr. Peter Githaiga & Isabel Wangeci, Stephen Njuraita& Racheal Njeri, Charles Muchiri & Lucy K. Marangu.

Sister of the late Zelipha Gaturuku, late Phyllis Hiuko Magithia, the late Githaiga Kiruki, the late Cecilia Wambui & Samuel Muchiri Kiruki. Step Sister of Gateru Kiruki, the late Warigia Gateru, the late Joseph Weru, Nancy Wanjiru, Gladwell Njeri, Beatrice Wakonyu, Esther Kagure. Adored grandmother among others of Onesmus Ngari, Mark Mwitari, Anderson Weru, Humphrey Macharia, Mildred Macharia, Kevin Mugo, Erick Mwitari, Sammy Mutahi, Lilian Wangui, and Liz Mutua.Auntie & great grandmother of many.

Friends & relatives are meeting at her home daily, Norwich Towers on Monday 24th and at All Saints Cathedral on 25th and 26th February 2020 starting at 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary on Friday 28th February at 8.00am for funeral service & burial at her home in Kariambi village, Gathehu Sub-location, Mathira East Sub-county.

“Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. They will rest from their hard work for their good deeds shall follow them. Amen” (Revelation 14:13)

    I would like to convey my condolences to our beloved sister and faithful Servant of the Lord. Mine is to remind the family that our mother, sister, aunt grandma and great grandma that she has fought a good fight, she has finished the race; and in fact, she has finished it well. May her soul Rest In Peace Eternal. Till we meet again. May God continue to bless you and keep you always under his mighty wings where no enemy can find you.

    Cucu, I miss you so much. But I believe you are dancing with Angels in heaven teaching them how to sing with ” Ibuku ria Kuinira Ngai” na Tukutendereza cucu.
    To family, wendo wa cucu ndukanathire uri uri. Know I will miss the Christmas Day without her cucu continue resting in His hands.
