Appreciation

19th of December 1935 – 6th of July 2022

The family of Elder Eunice Kageni Muindi wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God for blessing us with a loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend.

We wish to express our appreciation to many loving relatives, neighbours, clergy, friends — both local and international — who visited, called us, offered material and emotional support, we humbly request that you accept this as our expression of our most sincere gratitude and appreciation.

Special thanks to the Head Office Secretariat of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) in particular the Moderator of the General Assembly, Right Rev. Thegu Mutahi, the Secretary General, Rev. Dr. Robert Waihenya and the Deputy Secretary General, Rev. Paul Kariuki.

This appreciation is shared with the GAC Business Committee for providing invaluable support in ensuring a befitting occasion.

To the leadership and members of PCEA Nyamachaki, Ruringu, Riamukurwe and Chogoria West Presbytery who assisted the family in giving her a very fitting farewell notwithstanding their kind messages of encouragement, we say thank you.

In particular, we wish to recognize the funeral committee in Nyeri led by the Moderator of the Nyeri Presbytery Rev. Fredrick Kirathi and the family liaison Mr. Samuel Mwaria, and Mr. Benjamin Mukundi. Your commitment and support have been invaluable in ensuring a dignified sendoff for our mom and we thank you. Our sincere gratitude goes to various county government departments for ensuring safety and smooth travel from Nyeri to Chogoria.

We thank all the doctors and staff at various hospitals in Nyeri and Nairobi who have tended to mom with truly loving hearts. In particular, would like to thank Dr. Lois Wagana, Dr. Gladwell Kiarie and Dr. Henry Abwao.

Last but not least, we extend our sincere thanks to Job Njiru & family for providing a loving home away from home while mom was undergoing treatment in Nairobi.

Very special thanks to mom’s home care team, Ann Mugure, Pamela Kairiti and John Nderitu. May the Lord bless you as you continue to serve.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23: 1 -3)
