Elder Isaac Kihungu Wanganju

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the family announces the passing of Elder Isaac Kihungu Wanganju on 26th January 2019.

Loving husband of the late Virginia Wambui Kihungu. Beloved son of the late Alexander Wanganju Githiaka and the late Mary Wangui Wanganju. Son-in-law of the late Hiram Githongo and Phyllis Muthoni. Cherished father of Mary Wangui, Alex Wanganju and Judy Muthoni, James Githongo and Grace Wanjiru, George Githiaka and Jane Njeri, Eugene Njeru and Evelyne Muthoni. Grandfather of Kaycee Wambui, Kaydee Mugure, Isaki Baraka, Florence Wairimu, Ian Kihungu, Stacy Nkirote, Leo Kinoti and Jaden Kihungu. Elder Wanganju was pre-diseased by three brothers: Naftali Githiaka, Justus Kariuki and Daniel Mbuthia. His other siblings are Moses Murigi, Francis Wachira and Rose Njeri Njuguna. Brother-in-law of Florence Mugure Githiaka, Purity Njeri Kariuki, Rachael Muthoni Mbuthia,Alice Wambui Murigi, Minneh Wambui Wachira and Charles Njuguna Theuri. He was also brother-in-law of the Githongo sons and daughters.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his Githiururi Nyahururu home and at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi on Tuesday 5th February 2019.

The cortege leaves Nyahururu District Hospital on Wednesday 6th February 2019 at 8.00am or funeral service and burial at Githiururi Nyahururu family home.
