Husband of Concepta Nangekhe Makokha, of Lukhuna Village, Bituyu, Kimilili Rural Sub-location Kimilili Rural location, Kimilili Sub-county, Bungoma County. The late John was the first Presiding Clerk of the Kamusinga Yearly Meeting of Friends, Quakers.

Son of the late Luka Musamali and the late Prisca Nabangi. Brother of the late Esther Nasiumbu, Beatrice Nang’unda, Gladys Nanjumbia, Ben Soita and Philip Wafula, Mary Najekho, the late Susan Namalwa, the late Johnson Kalamu, the late Grace Nanyama, Rose Nakhumicha, James Wasioya, Helen Nafuna and Annet Nekesa.

Father of Andrew Makokha (Nairobi), Luke Wekesa (Eldoret), Tom Makokha (Bungoma), Dr. Peter Makokha (Nairobi), late Gabriel Makokha, Hon. Michael Makokha, Mary Makokha, Martha Makokha (Nairobi), Miriam Makokha and Mercy Makokha.

He is the uncle of Wekesa Kitayi, Eng. Manuel Barasa and many others. Father-in-law Becky, Micah, Doricus, Beth.

Grandfather of Dennis, Evans, Jemimah, Faith, Joshua, Collins, Blessing, Ian, Esther, Ruth, Joy, Fidel, Makokha Musamali Bradley, Fortune, Prince, Oliver, Owen, Obed, Valary, Favour, Felicia, Gael, Gibbs, Pretty and Alicia.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nairobi on Friday 6/8/2022 and stay at his home. The funeral will be held on Saturday 27/08/2022 at his home near Bituyu Dispensary, Kimilili Sub-county.
