Elder John Nyamu Gwandaru

In humble acceptance of God’s will, we regret to announce the death of Elder John Nyamu Gwandaru of Muthaip Estate – Nanyuki, Laikipia County, which occurred at Mathari Mission Hospital on 4th June, 2023, due to a short illness bravely borne. He was the proprietor of Donlex Enterprises – Nanyuki, Mutathiini Building.

He was born on 22nd March, 1959 by the late Stanley Gwandaru and MaryWambere. Son-in-law of the late Grandston Kabubu and the late Julia Wairimu ofTimau Ngusishi.

Loving husband to Doris Gathoni Nyamu – Donlex Enterprises – Nanyuki. Father to Lewis Gwandaru, Hellen Wambere and Naomi Wairimu. Grandfather to Willian Nyamu and Hadassah Gathoni.

Brother to Timothy Nduru,Tom Kanake, the late Dadson Githinii, Lydian Nyawira, James Muchiri, Irene Mwihaki and the late Stephen Migwi.

In-law to Isabella, Ruth, Margaret, Lucy,  Njeri, Elijah Gichuri, Margaret Kirigo, Lydiah Mumbi, Mary Wangui and Samuel Murithi. He was an uncle /cousin to many.

Funeral arrangements meetings are being held daily at his home in Muthaiga Estate – Nanyuki and Emess Hotel – Nanyuki.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on June, 2023 at 8.00am. Followed by the funeral service at PCEA Nanyuki Town Church and later burial at his Family home at Ngenia Timau.
