He was husband to Eliketa Muthoni, Milka Waithera and Lucy Njica.

He was father to Francis Wambugu (Kalro) Thika, Eng. Lawrence Mwangi former CEO of Athi Water Services Board, Eunice Njoroge, Benson Gathimba, Boniface Gathimba, James Njaramba, (Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company), Joseph Ndung’u (Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company), Moses Gathogo, Joyce Wangui (Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company ), Late Robert Wambugu, Late Justus Muthee among others. He was a grandfather and great grandfather father to many. He was a retired Assistant Chief in Iganjo sub-location Kamahuha Location.

Burial will be in 31 /10/19. This will be in Ndorome village, Iganjo sub-location, Kamahuha Location, Makuyu Constituency, Murang’a County.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily from 28/10/19 in his home and at Holy Family Basilica.
