It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Eng. John Patrick Ochieng, retired Senior Assistant Inspector-General, National Police Service and federal aviation administrator and consultant, on 5th May 2021.
Son to the late Mr. Robert Owino and Mrs. Lorna Opembi. Husband to Janet Agutu Ochieng (KPC), loving father to Fredrick Emmanuel Owino Ochieng (Utah, USA), Bob Martin Akech Ochieng (Massachusetts, USA), Humphrey Mbande Ochieng (KCB), Catherine Opembi Ochieng (Unilever Kenya) and Daphney Odira Ochieng (JKUAT). Brother to Akech, Selina, Joan, Joshua, Perez, Doreen, Oyoko and Achieng. He was the grandfather to Oero Don Ochieng Owino and Ouma Dale Owino.
Father-in-law to Shellie Don Owino and Njeri Njoroge Akech. Brother-in- Law to Odhiambo, Otieno, Joshua, Risper, Julie, Beatrice and Lydia. He was an uncle to Pamela, Millicent, Job, Allan, Edgar, Kingstone, Oyugi, Tom, Aketch, Steve, Zainabu, Taabu, Shaban, Achieng, Akoth, Aloo, Akech Beatty and Steve Oyoko, among others.
Friends and relatives are meeting at his residence at Muthaiga North Pipeline Estate from 4-6pm daily.
Church service will be held on Thursday at 11am at CITAM Valley Road. The funeral service and burial will be held at his home in Gem Kagilo, Lela Village, Siriwo sub-county, Siaya County on May 15, 2021.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. He was a sober leader who faced challenges with brilliantness and thus able to wade many issues that he faced. Will be dearly missed.
