Esther Wangui Ndung’u

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of our beloved Mama Esther Wangui Ndung’u of Ereri Farm, Longonot, Naivasha Sub County on 12th October 2018, at MP Shah Hospital, after a long illness bravely borne.

She was a daughter of the late Tharau Wa Wakahihia and Mary Wangari. Wife of the late Erastus Ndung’u Kiiru and Co wife to both the late Beth Wambui and Hannah Wairimu. She was sister to Loise Wanjiku Miring’u, Ashford Maina and the late Mumbi Tharau and Suleiman Ngure Tharau.

She was mother of David Kiiru (Pada Security), Joseph Tharau, James Ngure, Grace Wambui, Mary Njoki. Samuel Kiiru, Simon Nding’uri, Jackson Njoroge, Ruth Wangari, Jane Gathoni and the late Peter Kihumba, John Mbuthia, and Janet Wambui. Mother in law to Jane Kaninu Kiiru, Mary Muthoni Tharau, Teresiah Wamaitha Ngure, Jefferson Munene and Peter Ng’ang’a. She was a grandmother, a great grandmother and great great grandmother to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily from 5p.m at her home in Ereri Farm – Longonot, Naivasha Sub -County, Ruiru Dam village, Githunguri Sub- County and the residence of her son David Kiiru in Kikuyu Ondiri.

The cortege will leave Mukoe Funeral home in Githunguri on 18 October at 9.30am for a funeral service and burial at the family home in Ruiru Dam, Githunguri Sub County, Kiambu County.
