Eunice Muthanje Matthew  

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved mother and Grandmother Eunice Muthanje Matthew of Mutunduri Embu County. She passed away on Sunday 28th March, 2021, after a short illness.

Beloved wife of the late Matthew Njiru Zakaria. Daughter of the late Isaiah Ireri and Agnes Wambugi. Sister of the late Phineas Nyaga, the late Joshua Kivuti, the late Charles Njagi, the late William Njeru and the late Seth Nguu. Mother of Moses Muriithi (Technical University of Mombasa), David Njue, the late Margaret Muthoni,Anthony Nyaga (University of Embu) and Peter Njeru. Daughter-in-law of the late Zakaria Munyi, Mariam Magiri and Joyce Rwamba.

Sister-in-law of the late Harisson Kiura, the late Ephantus Njeru, the late Salesio Gitari, Bedan Gichovi, Kellen Njoki, Peter Nyaga, Wilson Ndwiga, Jane Muthoni, Grace Wandiri, John Ireri, Samuel Gicovi and Stephen Muchangi. Mother-in-law of Florence Wanja (TSC), Dorothy Mukami and Catherine Kawira. Grandmother of Grace Rita (Min of Interior) Edwin, Roseline, Pamela, Makena, Derrick, Ian, Joy, Oscar and mmanuel, among others. Great-grandmother of Victor, Travis and Olivia, among others.

The cortege eaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Tuesday 6th April, 2021, at 9.00am for a funeral service at St. Matthews ACK Church Kiangima and thereafter burial at her home Mutunduri Village Embu County.
