Eva Ayiera
The Ayiera family announce with great sadness the loss of their sister Eva Ayiera on 8th October 2017.
Eva was a lawyer and advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a passion for human rights, justice and governance. She most recently consulted at Equality Now and worked at the Centre for Human Rights and Policy Studies (CHRIPS). Previous work engagements also include Urgent Action Fund and Refugee Consortium of Kenya.
Eva is survived by a seven month old daughter, Zuri Ayiera; siblings:- Carolyn, Victor, Tony and Maureen; sisters-in-law:- Carol and Maureen ; brother in law:- Bingwa and; nieces and nephews – Nasha, Kani, Ajani,Tenda, Zani and Nathan.
The family and friends will congregate at All Saints Cathedral from 4pm onwards on 12th and 13th October 2017 and all are welcome to join them there.
The memorial service will take place at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home off Mbagathi Way on Saturday 14th October, 2017 at 10am followed by a private funeral service.

I was privileged to be Eva’s high school teacher and she was one of my best music students at Alliance Girls High School in Kenya. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
