We the family of Felistas Gathoni Muriu wish to express our utmost appreciation for the overwhelming support, messages of condolence, prayers and visits we received during the period following the sad loss of our Matriarch, Felistas.

Special thanks go to the community in Karatu, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mutunguru, St. James Catholic Church, Karatu, the Parish Priest, Fr. Michael Komu, Prof. Fr. Lawrence Njoroge, Fr. Moses Kamau Kago, Fr. David Njuguna, Fr Malcolm “Njoroge“ and the Don Orione Missionary Fathers for their home visits, celebrating the Requiem Mass and burial service.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Nairobi funeral arrangement committee chaired by Phillip Wanjema Kago together with members including Timothy Chege, Fr. Michael Kamau, Eng. Francis Murigi wa Kimani, John Thuku, Francis Kago, the nuclear family members, as well as all those who attended the prayer and eulogy meetings at St. Paul’s University Chapel.

We especially recognize H.E. Dr James Nyoro, Kiambu County Deputy Governor & Mr David Karanja for their goodwill and support.

We also cannot forget the Karatu funeral committee chaired by Paul Mwea for their tireless work in making preparations for our matriarch’s farewell, the staff at Primecare Health Services and Hills Converters for their secretariat and printing services respectively, and the Kenyatta University Mortuary for the care and attentive service accorded to the family.

To all our relatives and friends who left their busy lives to travel from as far as America, Europe, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and even closer home from Kwale, Nanyuki, Nakuru and Nairobi to comfort and support us during this trying time, Asanteni Sana.

It would be impossible to mention each and every one of you by name, but please accept our most sincere and heartfelt appreciation for your presence, prayers and participation.
