Francis Ndegwa Gititu (wa Gathoni)

It is with deep sorrow that we, the Ndegwa family, announce the demise of Mr. Francis Ndegwa Gititu – Wa Gathoni (formerly of Railway Training Institute and after retirement, Nyahururu General Stores), on March, 15th 2021, that occurred at The Nairobi Hospital.

Son of the late Moses Gititu and the late Rahab Gathoni.

Brother of the late Beatrice Wanjiru, the late Joseph Wambugu, Daniel Thuo, Mary Waruguru, Elizabeth Nyaguthi, Magdalene VVamucii, the late Hellen Wangari, the late Paul Waweru and Samuel Kuria.

Husband of Jacinta Mumbi Ndegwa of Gikomba Market. Doting father of Dr. Lucy and Noel McKenzie, Mary Ndegwa Magee, Margaret Ann and David Chege, Hellen Ndegwa, Jane Ndegwa, Joe and Dr. Judy Ndegwa, Grace and Mark Stebenne.

Grandfather of Sinclair, Ray, Karobia, Wanjira, Ian, Wesley, Blu, Jomo, Regi, Sydney, Riley, Avery, Jayden, Mwaura, Liam, Cade, Carlin and the late Crystal Libby. Great-grandfather of Kyan.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at their home in Karen, Hillcrest Road, off Lang’ata Road. At Hillcrest Close Estate, from 5.00pm.

Requiem Mass will be held at Regina Caeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 23rd at 11.00am.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Horne, at 6.00am on Thursday March, 25th for burial at his farm in Wanjohi.
