It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Francisca Atieno Omondi, (formerly of St Marks Kigari TTC and Kabarnet Boys High School) that occurred at KNH on 30th December 20 18, after a long battle with illness.

Daughter of the late Paul Omondi Awuor and Jane Akoth Omondi of Obambo, Central Alego, Siaya County. Sister of Fredrick, the late Anne Awandu, Thomas, Susan Omondi Obol (MOH NRB county), Christine Omondi Ochieng (WFP), Luke, the late Lucy Okeyo, Simon and Austin. Niece of the late Peter Okello, the late Paschal Odongo, Dismas Wandewe, Joseph Nallos, Fr Joseph Oketch, Tom Olunga, the late Calara and the late Rosa Oduor. Sister-in-law of Richard Awandu, Benson Obol Otieno, El ly Ndiao, Calvince Okeyo, Caroline Ouma, Eunice Odhiambo and Caroline Owino. A cousin, Aunt, Friend, teacher and mentor to many, a great woman of Faith.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5:30pm at Beneve Restaurant Opposite GPO and at her sister Susan’s home in Chokaa, Kangundo road for burial arrangements and fundraising.

Main fundraiser will be held on Saturday the 5th of January 2019 at Tumaini Meeting Chambers (5th Floor) Nkurumah Avenue, opposite Kencom Building from 1.00pm.

The memorial service, will be held at CITAM valley road from 2pm on Wednesday the 9th of January 2019.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Morgue in Nairobi on 10th January for burial service on 11th of January 2019 at her parents home in Obambo, Central Alego, Siaya County.

    My prayers are with the family. I am saddened by this news. Francisca was a good friend of mine during our undergrad at KU. She was strong in her faith in Christ Jesus. I am saddened that I never made effort during my short visits in Kenya to see her. Rest In Peace. You certainly fought the good fight of faith.
