Frankline Ogoti Obiero

 (1984-2020)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Franklin Ogoti Obiero (Bobo) which occurred on Sunday 11/10/2020 after a brave battle with cancer. Until his death, Franklin worked for Diamond Trust Bank (Meru).

He was husband to Edna Boyani and father to Damian Ogoti and Ashlyn Ogoti. Beloved son of Teresa Obiero and Richard Obiero of Kamulu and Kitale. Doting brother to Sylvia Manoti Gimona (Amref), Edwin Obiero (Absa), and Geoffrey Obiero (GDC). Brother in-law to Jack Gimona (KeRRA), Naserian Pertet, and Evaline Akelo. Grandson to the late Florence Nyaboke and the late Ogeto Kiage, the late Francis Mogusu and Hebisiba Mogusu. Nephew to the late George Kiage Ogeto and the late Hellen Kiage, Teresia Okong’o (NIS Kisii), Rael (USA), Mwebi, Zawadi, Agasa, Meshack (USA), Mogaka, Tabitha, Eunice and others.

Cousin to Justice Patrick Kiage (Court of Appeal), Prof. Larry Kiage (USA), Catherine Kiage, Dr Beatrice Kiage (JKUAT), Dr. James Nyaberi (USA), Jane Kiage (USA), Rudiah (Meru), Nancy (Meru), Mary Obare (USA), Evans Nyaberi (Kenya Police), Miriam (KDF), Justus (Kisumu), Dorothy (USA), Carol (USA), Glenah, Joash, Getanda, Phane, Nyamwaya and many others. Beloved uncle to Wesley, Tamara, Kelsey, Jewel among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Tumaini house Nairobi from 5:30pm and at their residence in Kamulu.

The main fundraising will be on Wednesday 21/10/2020 from 5:30pm at LMS (Maxwel SDA Church) Nairobi, to offset medical bills and burial expenses.

Burial will be on 23/10/20 at his residence in Kamulu. The body lies at Kenyatta University Mortuary.
