It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Fredrick Mburu Gatome (of Lari Bus) of Gitanga Close, Nairobi.

The second born son of the late Nahashon Gatome Mbogo and the late Rahab Nyambura Gatome of Kirenga Village, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County.

Husband of Felista Magiri Mburu. Father of Catherine Nyambura Mahia, Agnes Wambui Kariuki, Elizabeth Wangui Mwige, Stella Wanjiku Mburu and Janet Wanjiru Mburu.

Father-in-law of Nelson Mahia, Robert Kariuki and Isaac Mwige.

Brother of the late James Mbogo, the late Beth Wangui Mbogo, Anne Wachira (USA), David Njoroge (USA), Prof. Grace Bunyi (Kenyatta University), Charles Muigai, Lucy Chege (formerly KPC), Nancy Njenga, Sophie Njuguna (Ngong) and the late Arthur Mwangi.

Son-in-law of the late John Njuguna and the late Agnes Wambui Njuguna of Gaichanjiru. Brother-in-law of the late Maj Gen Duncan Wachira, Josephine Mukuhi Njoroge, Obadiah Bunyi, Mumbi Mbogo, Anne Mumbi Waweru, Charles Tharao, the late Fred Njenga, Crispus Njuguna, the late Bernard Mwandi, the late Charles Mwaura, Elizabeth Wanjiku, the late Elijah Njuguna, Rosemary Kuria, the late Joseph Kariuki, Laurensia Muthoni and Ejidio Mungai among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home Gitanga Close, Valley Arcade, Nairobi from 5 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday 24th March 2024 at 3:00 pm at AIC Ziwani, Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 8am for a funeral service and burial at their farm at ha Githae, South Kinangop.
