Geofrey Muthecha Gitau
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing on of the late Bishop Dr Geofrey Muthecha Gitau, which occurred on Wednesday 21st April 2021. He was the immediate former Regional Overseer (Nairobi Region) of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya.
He was the son of the late Jeremiah Gitau and the late Kahinya wa Gitau. Brother to the late Janet Muthoni, Peter Kimani, John Ndichu, Peninah Wambui and the late Nyanjahi Gitau.
Husband to Hannah Njeri Muthecha .Father to Mary Nyokabi, Jacinta Njoki, Allan Gitau, Moses Njoroge and Peter Mwangi. Father in-law to Francis Kimeria, Pst Sedan Chege, Mary Wanjiku, Alice Wanjiru.
Grandfather to 16 and great grandfather to Karl Muthecha, Neylan Ngugi and Shasha Imani.
The cortege will leave KU Mortuary on Thursday 29th April at 8.00a.m for a funeral service at Utawala thereafter the body will be laid to rest at his home Utawala Embakasi.
My deepest condolences to the family, friends and everyone that loved him. Through the years that I have known this great man of God, he always left everyone in a state of deep yearning to live right with christ. He has been a person I looked up to and will greatly miss.
Yet we know, that those who sleep in christ will rise again in the day of the rapture.
