George Kanyi Maruguti

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Kanyi Maruguti of Ithanji, Witima, Othaya, Nyeri County on 3rd March 2020.

Son of the late Benedict Maruguti and the late Julia Wanjiku. Husband of the late Grace Wanjiru. Brother of the Late Wambui, Nyambura, Wothaya, Maina Igana (Kitale) and the only surviving Wangari (U.S.A. / Pesi Scheme). Father of Esther Wanjiku Gatete, Stephen Nderitu, Cyrus Wanyiri Kanyi (Cyka), the late Maina, the late Waweru, Peter Gikonyo and Samuel Wambugu. Uncle of Ndirangu (Canada), Linus Maina (Kefri), Mugweru, Maina (Immaculate), Wanjiku Koine (USA), Lydia Wanjiku, Wangechi Manyara, Nderitu, (USA), Harun Wachania among others. Grandfather and Great Grandfather of many. Father-in-law of the late Gatete, Eunice Wambui, Mama George Nderitu, Lydia Maina and Virginia Wambugu.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home, Ithanii Village, Witima, Othaya and at Downtown Meeting Centre, Agro house, 2nd Flr, M2-03 Opposite Gill House, Nairobi at 5.30p.m. from today 9th to Thursday 12th March for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Mukurweeini Mortuary on Friday 13th March, 2020 at 9.00a.m. for Funeral Service at Witima.
