It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Gladys Karimi, beloved wife of Mr. Thuranira M’Athiru which occurred on 6th December 2016 at Texas Hospital Nairobi. Daughter of the late Wilson M’ Tuaruchiu M’Nthaka and the late Margaret Makandi. Loving mother of Geoffrey Mugambi, Patrick Mutethia and Lucy Kathambi. Grandmother of Ann Kinya, Teddy Gitonga and Karani, Daughter-in-law of M’Athiru, M’ Elanguchia and the late Ciomwirichia M’Athiru. Sister of Simon, the late Kiambi, Martha, Mwiti, Kirimi, the late Florence, Mutwiri, Fredrick, Kajuju, Murega Japhet, Jane and cousin of J. Gitonga, Makena and many others. Sister-in-law-to Nchoa, Salesio Rinu, Kamela, Gachingiri, Nkatha, Benard Kailu, Murochia, Francis Chokera, Martha, Sabina, Karwitha, Makena, Mukokinya, Kainda, Mutabari Athiru, Jeremiah Mugambi, lgweta, Edward, Sabera, Maancha, Akula, Mary Kaloki and Michael. Aunt of David Gitonga, Mercy Gakii, Peter Murithi, Florence Kajuju, Karambu Rinu, Simon, Faith Mwari, Moses Chokera,Ann Nkirote, Kinoti, Joy Mwendwa, Mwiti, Caroline Kanja, Beth Kaumbi, Kamathi Winfred,Tonny, Kawira, Titus, Elias and many others.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Makutano Meru and at her home, Mang’uai village, Athwana Ward , Meru County for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 16/12/2016 at 7am for a requiem mass at Charanga prayer house, Athwana Ward, Ngundune, Meru County and thereafter burial at her Mang’uai home.
