Appreciation

We, the family of the late Gladys Wangechi Ngarua, give glory to God for His faithfulness and the blessings of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Our special appreciation goes to Dr. Kiruhi, Dr. Kibe, Physiotherapist Muturi and nurses that have been treating and attending to mother’s needs in various hospitals such as Outspan, Mater, Nairobi and DM1. We wish to also appreciate Dr. Kinyua who has been seeing our mother at home.

Similarly, we are most grateful to Madam Wairimu, and her daughter, Njeri, who took care of our mother and showed her uncommon love. We also wish to thank the Woman’s Guild; P.C.E.A. Kaigonde Church; P.C.E.A. Bahati Martyrs’ Parish; P.C.E.A. Kasarani Parish; P.C.E.A. Kanderendu Church; Trinity Chapel—Ruiru, International Christian Centre; CITAM, and the Clergy for the great support and embrace of our burden in our moment of sorrow.

We are equally grateful to H.E. Mutahi Kahiga, Deputy Governor—Nyeri County, Dr Gideon Muriuki, and Hon. Ndirangu Waihenya for standing with us in our hour of need. For the many relatives, neighbours, friends, colleagues, Government representatives, service providers, workers and volunteers who steadfastly stood with us in prayer, visits, words of comfort-via phone calls and text messages-and financial support, please accept our heartfelt gratitude for coming out in your numbers.

Finally, we wish to give thanks to the funeral committees in Mungaria and Nairobi, which worked diligently to ensure that our mother received a most befitting farewell. Your love and thoughts touched our hearts in a special way and set us on the healing path in ways you may not know. May the Lords’ goodness and loving kindness follow you all the days of your lives.

Mother in God’s hands you rest, yet you will always be alive in our hearts. Amen.
