Son of the late Mr. Charles Opon Ombewa and Mrs. Rispa Akech Opon. Step-son of the late Esther Opon. Father of Rodgers, Benta, Debra, Charles, Dan, Faith among others. Husband of Mwalimu Roselyn Were Ombewa, Mwalimu Severine Agutu Ombewa, Hellen and Anne Ombewa. Brother of Mary Adhiambo, Joyce Aluoch, Joseph Opon, the late Richard Opon, George Opon (Taratibu), Dr. Dan Opon (Immigration Department), Meshack Opon, Fannel Opon, Anne Opon, Mathew Opon, the late Ulda Opon and Ismael Opon. Cousin of the late Fredrick Ojwang’, Jacob Ojwang’, Jane See, Justice J.B Ojwang’ (Supreme Court), Phoebe Ojwang’, Melisa Ikawa, Janet Kasuku, Christine Ojwang’ among others.
Nephew of the late Eliakim Ojwang’ Ombewa, Ogonyo Ombewa, Charles Akongo Ombewa, the late mama Flora Guya Ojwang’, Elidah Onyango among others. Brother-in-law of Mary Onditi, Prof. Collete Suda (PS/CAS Ministry of Education), Julia Wanjiru Obura, Teresa Onyango, Phoebe Ochieng, Everlyn Odhiambo among others. Father-in-law of Paul Machogu among others. Uncle of Tobias See (Riley Falcon), among others.
The cortege leaves Ombo Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 19th June, 2019 at 9:00a.m. Burial takes place on Thursday 20th June, 2019 at his home in Osogo village Uriri Division, (Migori County from 9:00 a.m. -2:30pm.

It’s with deep sorrow to learn about the departure of our beloved Father,I sent my heartfelt condolences to the family,We loved him but God loved him more,may his soul rest in peace .
