My primary/grade school Principle for 7yrs at Moi Ave. Pr. School and a neighbor back at Rudi Mashambani. She was very influential in my life and made me believe I can be anything I wanted to be as long as I put in the work. A great teacher, leader, visionary and empathetic disciplinarian who cared for his students like his very own children. Fare thee well, Mrs. Ngumi, you fought the good fight and have finished the race. Rest in Power!

Rest in peace Mrs Ngumi, my dear boss & Mum.
Mrs Ngumi took me as a young man and employed me to teach CRE/French at Mugumo-ini Junior Academy in 1997, where I worked for 10 years under her able guidance as the school’s principal and Director. Mrs Ngumi was not only a boss to us, but also as good Mother to all of us in the staff room….She sponsored all my wedding expenses in 1997….I went again to invite her during my fundraiser when I got a scholarship to study in Washington, USA where she reallysupportedme and gave a warm speechas my dear Mum…..Surely, Mrs Ngumi was a dear Mum to me personally…I will really miss you… When you reach Heaven, convey my warm greetings to my my dear dear Dad, My Ngumi…..I will always love & miss you…..rest in peace my dear Mum…..

My beloved sister in law, ” Maramu” as we often called each other, I find it hard to say good by. I could hardly hold my tears back when I received the sad news. But I knew too well that God has taken you to a better place, where you will meet others among them your dear kid-sister, Mary Kamau, my late wife and my shining star who departed only 9 months ago. Your radiant smile was always an assurance that you cared and loved us unconditionally. I will always remember you and your late husband E S Ngumi with fond memories as you often welcomed us in your house, My children loved you so much and I know. One of your early students in your long teaching career, Rev. P N Gachathi, my pastor here in Boston also bids you farewell. For now, I will just Trust&Obey for there is no other, Trust in God and do the right for truly Blessed assurance Jesus is mine and HE WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING. Till we meet again on that beautiful shore, RIP my beloved sister.
