It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Hellen Katulu Otieno that occurred on 25th October 2022 after an illness bravely borne. She was an employee of Kenyatta University.

Wife to Fredrick Otieno Asuso. Mother to David Odhiarnbo and Daniel Oduor.

Daughter of David Minya and Hannah Minya of Makueni County. Sister to Muendo, Kaloki, Sarah Okeri, the late Muthoki, Mutuku, Musyoka and Nzioki.

Daughter-in-law to the late Margaret Asuso, Sherry Asuso, Martin Asuso and Sylvester Asuso. Sister-in-law to Godfrey Asuso, Revinta Malta, Gillian Tan, Brian Asuso, Erick Ochieng and Gorety Aoko.

Niece to Prof. Mutuku Muting’a, Loise, Rose, Rebecca, Peter Mbiu and Dorothy Makau.

Cousin to Mbithi, Timothy, Minya, Mutinda, Peter, Kyalo, Kaindwa, Zipporah, Nyangi, Kasumbi, Ngui, Boniface, Mbaluka, Dr. Nthenge, Alice, Jim, Dr. Muthoka, Mbai, Lumbu, Syombua, Maiko, Carol, Erick, Irene, Ngengi amongst others.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Kahawa West at 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home, Nairobi on Thursday, 3rd November 2022 at 8:00am for funeral service and burial on Friday, 4th November 2022 at Rae B Village, Siaya Township Location, Mulaha Ward, Siaya County.
