It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that the family of Nelson Gathige Macharia announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Hellen Waruguru Gathige (Mama Njeri of Umoja Estate, Ph I) which occurred on Wednesday, 3rd May, 2023 at KU Referral Hospital.

Loving wife to Nelson Gathige Macharia.

Daughter to the late Mathew Mwangi and the late Addah Wanjiku Mwangi of Koimbi village, Muranga County.

Mother to Martha Njeri Gichia (USA), Addah Wanjiku Chege (NRB) and Mike Macharia Gathige. Mother-in-law to Anthony Gichia and Arthur Chege. Grandmother to Mark Karimi, Micah Karimi, Regan Kariuki Gichia, Monica Wangari Chege, Lincoln Maina Chege and Hellen Waruguru Chege.

Sister to the late Francis Mutugu, Rachael Njeri, the late Samuel Kagechu, James Wakahiu, the late Mercy Wanja, the late Stephen Mugekenyi, Moses Gathinji, Hannah Wanjiru, Grace Nyambura, Pauline Waitherero, Peter Maina, Benson Makumi and Charles Gachango.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Umoja home from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, I I th May, 2023 at 7.30am. Funeral service and burial start at 10.00am at her home in Kiamara village, lyego, Kangema.
