Son of the late Kipchumba arap koitaba and the late chemaswai Tabrandich. Husband of Catherine Chepkoech Koitaba. Brother of the late Kiprono Sitienei, late Easter Cheptabut, Elizabeth Chesanga, late Elizabeth Chemigok, late Noah Koitaba, Priscah Seletho, late Taptalai Busienei, late Martha Maritim, Ann Chepwambok Keter, late Risper Kogei, Chepkwony Rongoei, the late Silvester Koitaba, late Joseph Sing’oei, late Daudi Sing’oei and Costandin Biwott. Father of Edward Kipchumba, Naomi Chelimo, Ednah Cheptoo, Bernard Kipkemei and James Koitaba. Grandfather of Ednah, Brian, Mercy, Ivy, Darwin, Joseph, Travis, Yves and Noah. Great grandfather of Trinity Chesang.

Burial arrangements are on going at his home Namgoi village and a harambee is scheduled for this Sunday and he will be laid to rest on 3rd Tuesday in his farm.
