Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu, Juja MP and tireless cancer warrior, dies at 61

05th October, 1958 – 22nd February, 2021

Juja Constituency, Kiambu County

 It is with great gratitude to God and acceptance of His Divine will that we announce the passing of Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu on 22nd February 2021 at 7:15pm after a long battle with brain cancer. The Late Hon. Francis Waititu was the second time Member of Parliament for Juja Constituency, Kiambu County where he served diligently until his demise. He will be remembered as an illustrious and devoted Member of Parliament who had a sterling career in the agricultural and real estate sectors.

He was the son to the Late Michael Munyua Waititu and Teresia Njeri Munyua. He was a husband to the Late Mrs. Ruth Wanjiru Waititu and Mrs. Susan Njeri Waititu. He was a loving father to Terry Njeri Munyua, Michael Munyua Waititu, Christine Njeri Munyua and Martin Munyua Waititu. He was a loving father in-law to Wilson Kariuki Ndung’u, Tania Njeri Mbugua, John Thandi and Sylvia Wairimu. Brother of the Late Cecilia Wambui, Nancy Nduta, Paul Kihara, Peter Kuria, Maria Wahu, Richard Kinyanjui, Mary Njeri, James Kariuki, Joseph Mburu, Mercy Nduta, George Wainaina, Susan Nyokabi and Lucy Wanjiku. He was a grandfather to Dylan Waweru Kariuki, Francis Waititu Munyua, Paul Mbugua Munyua and Theo Njoroge Thandi.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Juja Constituency from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

A requiem mass will be held at St Augustine Parish, Juja on Monday 1st March 2021 from 5:00pm.

The Cortege will leave the Lee Funeral Home (Nairobi) on the 2nd March 2021 at 7:30am for the burial ceremony at Jomo Kenyatta University main campus (Juja) Graduation Square as from 10:00am. Burial will take place at his home in Juja Constituency, Kiambu County.
