1932 – 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hon James Ezekiel Mbori Yogo of Saye Village, Rachuonyo South Sub-County. Former MP of Kasipul- Kabondo Constituency and Assistant Minister for Local Government (1983 -1992).
Son of the late Yogo Ong’ondo and Maria Acholla. Husband of Mama Esther, the late Rose, the late Gladys and Mama Susan.
Father of the late Dr. Florence Ohito, Emma, Judith, Beatrice, Freda, Lillian (Rae Girls), the late Martin, Rose (IRA), Dina, Grace (Formerly GTBank Ngong’ Rd), Mercy, Arthur, Eva (Principal Ogande Girls’), Polycarp (National Assembly) , Bart, Elector (Azalea International Kisumu), Neddy (KEMSA), Winnie (Kenya Law), Queenter (Standard Group), Faraday (CiandCi), Janus (City Clock), Dinwiddy, Bruce, Hezbon (Kenya Red Cross), Roselinda and Angela.
Brother of the late Ismael Yogo, late Killion Awino and Boaz Magero.
Step-brother of the late Okuma Yogo, Susanna, Musa Yoga and others.
Uncle of John Akonya, Gladys Ngere & others. Father-in-law of Laban Ohito, Jackton Akumu, Bruce Ogaga, Joel Otieno, Amos Onyango, Paul, Charles Odhiambo, Caleb Jaoko, Oscar Saina, Douglas Mabangu, Mary, Emily, Koki, jackline, Dorcas, Iska. Brother-in-law of Zephania lmbo, Lazaro Kiche, Elisha and Grace Adie, Hellen and the late Elizaphan Ogaga, Jane and William Obumba, Isdora and the late Osele, the late Amolo Sigu, Esau Sigu, Enoch Sigu.
He is survived by 51 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The cortege will leave the Aga Khan University Hospital Kisumu on 16th June 2017 at 9am for a funeral service at St Peter’s Cathedral (Episcopal Church of East Africa ) Rabuor, Kisumu County.
Thereafter the body will proceed to Saye Village home with a brief stopover at Kadongo and Oyugis.
There will be a funeral service at Saye Village home before Baba is laid to rest on 17th June 2017.
Major fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 13th June 2017 at All Saints’ Cathedral Nairobi.
