It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Philip Mukui Wekalao Wasike (Advisor, Strategy and Liaison Officer – Ministry of Devolution & ASAL), which occurred on Sunday 3rd June 2018.
Son of the late Charles Wasike Mukui and Bilha Sikhoya Wasike. Son-in-law of Yohana Wataka and Petronilla Nabifwo. Loving husband of Scolastica Mukoya Mukui (Director, Dept. of Trade Bungoma County) and Mary Masibo (Nangina Girls). Loving father of Belinda Namwaya (Hotelier, Kisumu), Kevin Mukui (Advocate, Nairobi), Sheilah Nandutu (Accountant, Bungoma County), Sharon Musuya (Teacher, Maths/Chemistry), Spencer Charles (UOE), Faith Nabifwo (Fountain Gate), Daisy Mukui (KRA), Ashley Mukui (Daystar University), Mercy Namwaya (CUEA), Sharon Nakhumicha (Jubilee Insurance), Patience Nandutu (UON), Joseph Namaande (Starehe Boys), Aiden Mukui & Eislei Mukui. Grandfather of Sharlet, Lucile, and Ryan.
Brother of Elicah, Kellan, Esther, Hellen, Norah. Cousin of CS Eugene Wamalwa (Devolution & ASAL), Dr. Wekalao (KU),Matumbai, Gerry, Margaret, Fred, Dennis, Alloys, Brian, Mwisaka among others. Father-in-law of Henry Abongo and Mark Domian Kondoa. Brother in law of the late Emanuel Nabiswa, George Nyakundi, Dunstan Wafula Leonard Okwara, Kizito Mukhwana, the late Vincent Wakoli, Bonventure, Muresia, Evelyn and others.
There will be a harambee on Tuesday 12th June 2018 from 5.00 PM at Railways Club, Nairobi. The Chief Guest will be CS Eugene Wamalwa (Devolution & ASAL).
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 14th, June 2018 at 7.00 AM for requiem service at the Lang’ata Friends Church from 8.00am — 9:30am and thereafter departure for his Teremi home in Bungoma County.
There will also be a service on Friday 15th June 2018 at his Teremi residence from 1.00 PM.
Funeral service will be held at Teremi High School grounds on Saturday 16th June 2018 and thereafter burial at his Teremi residence.
