HON. (PROF) JUSTICE OTIENO-ODEK

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely death of Court of Appeal Judge Hon. (Prof) Justice Otieno-Odek, whose body was found in his house on the morning of Monday, December 16, 2019.

Justice Odek was the second born son of William Odek and Lucia Odek. Son in Law to the Late William Oluoch and Rosebella Ogolla. Husband to Dr. Ann Achieng Oluoch. Caring Father of William Otieno and Wilson Odhiambo. Father in Law of Octavia Mambori. Brother to Yonah Odek, Grace, Isaac Odek, Dr. Alice Yalta, Eunice Odek, Abraham Odek, Nelly, Jacky, Dr. James Odek, Milly, Sammy, Irene, Lilian, WJ Mzee Jnr among others. Brother-in-Law to Jane Oluoch, Henry Okeyo, Jacob Ochieng and Ignatious Oluoch, Milka Catherine, Ratego, Dr. Hilda, Dr Acholla, Midi, Mercy, Dr. Priscah, the Kowueches among others.

Cousin to the Arowos, Mary Kowueche, David, Giddy, the Magollos, the Okongos, the Opasis, Okanja, the Okongos, Kenan Otiri, Mwajuma, Lorna, the Akinyis, JK Odhis, Captain Oluoch, the Orwas among others. Uncle to Crispin, Christine, Ochieng, Caren, Brian, Martin, Jared, Dan, Vidah, Linford, Bramwel, Elvis, Allan-Brian, Ian-Kings, Kapello, Caro Olali, Dave, Gordon, George, Brian Acholla, Tatiana, Winnie, Lynn, Diana, Ayugi, Faith, Angela among others. Prof. Odek was a Colleague, Mentor, Teacher and Friend to many.

A church service will be held at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on the December 23, 2019 from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm.

A prayer meeting will be held on the December 26, 2019 at the Kisumu Judiciary Grounds from 10.00am am and the burial will take place at his Asembo, Memba School on Friday 27th December 2019.

Meetings are held daily from 5pm to 7 pm at his home in Kileleshwa.
