Hon. Willy Kiprop Komen

It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing on of Hon. Willy Kiprop Komen of Menengai West, Rongai Nakuru, which occurred on 22nd June, 2019. He was formerly Member of Parliament for Molo, Nakuru Town & Rongai constituencies between the years 1969 – 1997. He served as an Assistant Minister for Labour between 1992 and 1997. Mzee was a devout catholic and a member of the Queen of The Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Son of the late Kibowen Komen and the late Talai Komen of Njoro, Nakuru. Son-in-law of the late Hon Charles Murgor and Salina Murgor. Loving husband of Mrs Elizabeth Komen. Brother of the late Samson Komen, Mohamed Komen, Michael Bowen, the late Mary Komen, Bernard Bowen, Beatrice, Catherine,Agatha and Patrick Komen. Brother-in-law of Grace Komen, Sarah, Rukia, Amina and Eunice Bowen. Also Brother-in-law of Dr. James Murgor (MP Keiyo North), Austin, Bernadette and George among many others. Father of Peter, the late David, Catherine, Richard, Chris, John, Karen, Patricia, Sheila, Raymond and Kibet. A loving grandfather to many.

The procession will leave Nakuru War Memorial Hospital Mortuary on Friday 28th June, 2019 at Midday for Prayers and Mass at the Queen of Holy Rosary Catholic Church near Kabarak at 2.30pm.

The funeral service will be at his home at Menengai West, Olrongai on the 29th June, 2019 at 9.30am.
