With heavy hearts, we share the promotion to glory of our beloved Irene Muthoni Abwonji who went to be with the Lord on 23rd November 2025 after illness.
Beloved wife of Paul Abwonji, a darling mother of Msar, Lemuel and Arianna Abwonji.
A loving daughter of the late Leonard Maina and Florence Wangari of Othaya, Nyeri. A dear sister of Samuel, Edward and Tony Maina.
Sister-in-law of Ezekiel Oduor, Margaret Adaran, Peres Onyango, Joseph Onyango, the late Gen. F. O. Ogolla, Pamela Odero, Grace Titi and Shem Otieno.
Daughter in-law of Joel Okech and the late Mama Daman
An aunt of Maina, Wangari, Lorna, Vivianne, Joel, Wendy, Faith, Ronny, Beckham and many more.
A funeral service will be held at International Christian Centre (ICC), Nairobi West Campus tomorrow, Thursday, 27th November 2025 at 1 pm and burial on Saturday 29th November 2025 at Mur, Ng’iya, Siaya County.
Irene fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith, (2 Tim 4:7)
