It’s with acceptance of God’s will that we regret to announce the passing of Irene Njeri Wandao, (Retired Matron, Nyahururu District Hospital and Mairo lnya, Nyahururu) at the Karen Hospital.
Wife of the late Laurence Wandao. Beloved mother of Muchai and Salome Wanjiru Wandao (UK), Gitonga and Florence Wambui Wandao (Meru), Mugambi and Janet Wangui Wandao (Nyahururu). Daughter of Mzee Harrison Kariuki Maina and the late Jane Wambui Kariuki of Ngunguru, Mathira, Nyeri. Sister of the late Mugure Gachihi, Muthoni Kanyiri, Wairimu Gathuthi, Maim Kariuki, Ngima Githinji, the late Nyawira Gathiari and Wachira Kariuki. Daughter in law of the late James Rukwaro Wandao and the late Mary Wanjiru Rukwaro. Sister in law of Wahome, Gatoto, Nyarui, Karige and the late Wangui, the late Nderitu the late Wanjuki. Grandmother of Wangui, Maria, Sophia, Rebecca, Naomi, Jack, Brenda, Sherlene, Jyden, Zechariah and Faith. Beloved aunty and grandmother of many.
The Cortege leaves Montenzuma Funeral Home at 6am on 15-10-2020; Burial and funeral service will be at their home at Mairo Inya, Nyahururu, on the 15th October, 2020 at 11am.
We loved you mum but God loved you more

You have left agap where no one can fill except God the the Trinity
I know we will meet there in heaven at the kingdom of our glorious God.
You love will never depart from my heart

May holy God , the father of our Lord Jesus Christ , the father and mother of our souls, comfort and protect the entire family.
Mum I really miss you so much. Your absence is so real to me. You were the best mother on earth I could ever get; and if I was to choose another mother Id still choose you. Your demise is a big blow and a great pain in me. If I didn’t love you I’d not feel the pain of loosing you. I loved you so much and that’s why it’s such great pain to loose you. Dearly missed by me and my 2 little babies. Even if they’re too young to understand what happened. They enjoyed the love you showered them.
Your presence I shall forever feel. I knew you wouldn’t leave me bare.
You were everything! I wonder why I feel that ever more now?! Human nature…I know you know how much I loved you. That alone, satisfies my heart.
I cherish everything you gave from your tender heart mum. The love, the sacrifice, the food, the time, the advice, the education, the vocabulary, the sayings, the motivation, the challenge, the reprimand, the money, the joy, the good, the caution, the wisdom, the encouragement, the reminder, the smile… all went to greatest good.
You made me what I am. What more would I ask?
Your wisdom, I can only dream and hope that it rubs on me and everyone you touched. You are etched in my heart forever.
Remember, “you are me and I am you.” The shoes are very large ma, I’ll keep filling them up. Thank you mummy for trying for me, to the very end. You are “my rainbow in the cloud”
You take the steps with me, each stride. How blessed I am, knowing how holy you were. Therefore, on God’s side I shall remain because you will herd me right dear mummy.
I will keep you close too. May God fulfill your soul. Amen
