It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we the Kigen’s Family announce the death of our beloved father, husband, uncle and grandfather Mr. Jackson Kigen that occurred on 1st January 2020.

Loving husband of Mrs. Grace Kigen. Son of the late Joseph Chemjor Kigen and the late Elizabeth Targok Kigen. Son-in-law of the late Reuben Changwony and the late Sarah Teriki Chepkuto. Dedicated and beloved dad of Caroline Kichwen, Henry Kigen, Oscar Kigen, Milly Cherogony, Joan Birir, Moses Kigen, Patrick Kigen, Stephen Kigen, Nicholas Kigen and Daisy Nyolei. Loving Father-in-law of Joel Kichwen, Belinda Kigen, Daisy Kigen, Reginauld Cherogony, Andrew Birir, Romana Kigen, Makena Kigen, Margaret Kigen, Lilian Kigen and Douglas Nyolei. Grand Father of twenty-three (23) grandchildren.

Brother of Dr. Alfred Bengat, Harun Kigen, Magdaline Cheruiyot and the late Rashid Kigen. Brother-in-law of Loise Bengat, Josphine Kigen, Simon Cheruiyot and Mary Kigen Uncle of Nancy, Rose, Jane, Mike, Catherine & Lawrence; Mike, Norah, Tony, Judy, Dennis, Kipkrotich, Kipyator & Kipkoror; Hassan, Osman, Chebet, Chelagat, Mercy, Chemutai, Patrick, Kipkorir, Kimunai & Chelimo; Chepkoech, Zeddy, Ezra, Erick & Honarine. Cousin of Kap Mulwo, Kap Kelei and Kap Machege families.

The Cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Thursday, 9th January 2020 for Eldoret Hospital. The Cortege will then leave Eldoret Hospital on Saturday, 11th January 2020 at 8AM for a funeral service and burial at his home in Karata farm, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, starting from 10AM.

Family and friends are meeting from Monday, 06th January 2020 from 5PM to 7PM and a funds drive is slated for Wednesday, 8th January 2020 at the All Saints cathedral, Nairobi. Family and friends are also meeting daily at his home in Kapsoya, Eldoret, for burial arrangements.
