James Njenga (Gichuru) Gaturu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of our loving James Njenga (Gichuru) Gaturu which occurred on 16th April 2018. He was a Retired Employee of Extelecoms (Kenya Post and Telecommunication).

Beloved son of the late Charles Gaturu Nagi and the late Grace Njoki Gaturu. Step Son of the late Serah Njerilanet Wambui, Serah Waithera and the late Teresiah Njeri. Son-in-law of the late Peter Ruraya and Hannah Wambui. Husband of Loise Murugi Njenga. Father of Benson Wainaina, Ruth Wanjiru Karani, Reuben Ruraya, Peter Mukono (Jacaranda Hotel) and Anastacia Wambui. Brother of the late Peter Mukono, Philomena Gakumo and the late Teresiah Wanjiku. Stepbrother of Monica Wamuhu Gaturu, Hannah Wamwere (Kangemi), Peter Njenga, David Ngubu, Stephen Njoroge (Kiambu) and others. Brother-In-law of Stevenson Gakumo (Thiong’o Rd.). Father-in-law of Alex Karani, Beth Ruraya and Margaret Mukono. Uncle, Cousin of many. Grandfather of Allan, Tony, Denis, Maureen, Kelsie, Elvis, Alvin, Brandon, Owen, Leon, and Braden .

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence at Kangemi Giwka Centre) from 5:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 26th April 2018 at 9:00am for a funeral service and burial at Langata Cemetery.
