James Wanjohi Gitahi (Awa)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of James Wanjohi Gitahi (Nyeri Star) on Tuesday 20/08/2019 at the Nyeri Outspan Hospital after a short illness.

Son of the late Ibrahim Gitahi Muthoga and the late Esther Wambaire Gitahi. Dear husband of Julia Wanjiru Wanjohi. Beloved Father of Esther Wambaire, Jane Nyaguthii, Anthony Gitahi, Thomas Njagi, George Mathenge, Faith Wambui and Carol Wangui.

Father-in-law of Benson Ngaruajulius Gltahi, Robert Maina, Monica Muthoni and Susan Wanjiru. Brother of the Late Elizabeth Wanjiru, the Late Samuel Njagi, Susan Mukuhi, the late Rahab Nyawira and Joseph Gathurai.

He is loved and will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the Kigogo-ini and Nyeri residence. Other meetings are being held daily at Ibis Hotel Nyeri from 5.00 pm and at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Thursday, Friday and Tuesday from 5.30 for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The burial date will be announced later.

A Requiem Mass service will be held on Monday 26th August 2019 at Ngangarithi AIPCA church starting at 11.00 am.

 James, you have fought a good fight, you have kept the faith and you have finished the race (2nd Timothy 4:7)
