Jane Anyango Obiny
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Anyango Obiny, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist community. Mama Jane was Born in Karachuonyo Kanjira, Homabay County in 1950. Jane’s life was a tapestry of devotion to her family and unwavering commitment to her Seventh-day
Adventist faith. She was a devout member of the church, finding solace, purpose, and community within its teachings.
Beloved wife of Eliud Ongudi Obiny, and together they built a life centered around their shared values of love, faith, and resilience. Jane’s role as a mother was central to her identity, and she leaves behind a loving family, including her children Monica, Kennedy, Roseline (Dosy), Robert, Eunice, Jackline and Lillian. Step-Mum to Charles, Jairo, Beatrice, Maurice and Doris. Her nurturing spirit and guidance will forever resonate in the hearts
of her many grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mama Jane’s commitment to her faith was reflected in her daily life, as well as her involvement in church activities and community outreach. Her enduring faith provided a source of strength and comfort during both joyous and challenging times.
To honor and celebrate Mama Jane’s life, a memorial service will be held at Lee Funeral Home on the 31st January, 2024 at 9.00am to be followed with the burial at her home in Konam,West Seme, Kisumu County on the 2nd February, 2024.
Friends, family, and community members are invited to join in remembering the life of this remarkable woman.
