It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Jane Gacheri Muriuki which occurred on 30th March 2021.
Daughter of the late Joel Muriuki Mugambi and Janet Kanaito Joel of Kiraa village Ntemwene, Kathera location, South Imenti, Meru County.
Loving Mum to Kingsley Mutuma Kimathi and Ivy Brenda Nkatha Kimathi. Adoring Grandmum to Grayson Mutuma.
She was beloved sister to Joyce Nkatha & Edward Gikunda, Florence Kathure & Justin Nyaga, Gitonga Muriuki & Ruth Gitonga, Charles Mwenda Muriuki & Lucy Mwenda, Rosemary Kagwiria & Muchai Mugambi, Kiogora Muriuki & Catherine Kiogora, Kithinji Muriuki &Anita Kithinji.
She was a darling niece, cousin and aunt to many. A friend, mentor and inspiration to many youths she nurtured and cared for.
She will be laid to rest at the family home in Kiraa Village, Kathera location, South lmenti – Meru County.
“We are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.” 2nd Corinthians 5:6
This is really sad news. May God comfort the bereaved family and rest our beautiful Gacheri’s soul in eternal peace. Will always cherish the memories we had while we were Graduate students at the University of Minnesota. Gacheri loved the Lord dearly and is resting in His presence. Away from the flesh but present with the Lord.
Farewell my sister and neighbor CTC, U of MN. It is so had to believe that you had to go this soon. You were a pure soul, so caring and loving. Thank you for the fond memories you left with us to cherish. Rest in power. My condolences to Kingsley and Ivy. May God comfort you

Fare thee well Gacheri. May the almighty comfort Janet and Her family. I will always remember how you always visited the late Juuju Jane Mwimbi and my kids at Kiraa village.
I was shocked and saddened by the news of Gacheri passing away. I was the extension executive secretary when she studied under professor Richard Meronuck. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Much love. Debbie
