Jane Nyokabi Waweru

December 24, 1945 – January 31, 2019  

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Jane Nyokabi Waweru formerly of Kenya Posts & Telecommunications (now Postal Corporation).

Daughter of the late David Waweru Wanuma and Kezia Wamaitha Waweru. Mother of Mungai Stanley of Kenyatta National Hospital, David Waweru of WordAlive Publishers and Beatrice Ngina. Sister of the late Samuel Wanuma, late Wifred Stanley Mungai, Medrine Wanjiku, Captain Suzanne Nungi and late Josephine Wambui Grandma to late Maureen Nyokabi, Nyokabi Mungai, Wanjiru Mungai, Wanuma Waweru, Nyokabi Waweru, Yvonne Nyokabi, Raynelle Wamaitha, Stephanie Wanjiku and Ira Adam. Auntie and great grandma to many.

Meetings will take place on Monday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 6 at CITAM (NPC) Valley Road at 5.30pm.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at Nairobi Baptist Church, Bethel sanctuary, at 11am.

Burial will take place at her home in Kamangu, Kikuyu, on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11.00am.
