Jane Waitherero Kinyua

It is with humble acceptance of the will of God that we announce the passing on of Jane Waitherero Kinyua (Mrs Kinyua/Mama Chege) which occurred on 5th September, 2019 after a long illness. Formally a teacher at Maragi Primary School.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Kinyua Karume. Daughter of the late Andronicus Maina and the late Elizabeth Wanjiru. Sister of Catherine Gathoni, Evans Thiongo and Samuel S. Gathuku. Loving mother of Nicholas Chege, Kenyan Karume, the late Anne Nyambura, Alex Kabutha, Junius Njoroge and Caroline Wanjiru. Mother-in-law of Margaret Nzadze, Alice Wangari and Mary Gathoni. Grandmother of Jane Chege, Denis Kinyua, Moureen Muthoni, Njeri Karume, Sally Muthoni, Brianna Njeri, Tracy Vungutsa, Chelsea Nyambura and Travis Kinyua. Great grandmother of Yasmine Nyaguthii.

Funeral arrangements are being held daily at Murang’a Tourist Lodge, Murang’a and Abby restaurant Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Murang’a County Funeral home on Friday 13th September, 2019 at 9:00am for a funeral service at St. Stevens ACK Church, Mukuyu and thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Kiawamburi village, Murang’a Town.
