It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our matriarch, Mrs Jane Wakiini Gatimu of Gathambi, Mwerua location, Kirinyaga County.

Daughter of the late Macharia Mbuciimue and EstherWambui Macharia. Beloved wife to Joel Gatimu Kibuchi. Loving mother to Prof. Margaret Wangeci Gatimu, Esther Wambui Keriri, George Maina Gatimu, Mary Wanjiru Kinisu, the late Peter Muriithi Gatimu and Samuel Kibuchi Gatimu. Mother-in-law to John Matere Keriri, Rose Gatimu, Philip Buyai Kinisu and Faith Muthoni Muriithi.

Grandmother to Nellie Nyaguthii Kinyanjui & Robert Kinyanjui, Brian Ngaire Keriri, Ian Gatimu Keriri, Kevin Joel Gatimu & Sheila Gatimu, Brian Wathanga Gatimu,Alvin Joel Gatimu & Jessica Gatimu, Martin Masinde Kinisu, Jonathan Sindani Kinisu & Gwen Kinisu, Caroline Nato Kinisu, Mary Nasimiyu Kinisu, Dennis Muriithi, Cynthia Nyaguthii Muriithi and Owen Gatimu Kibuchi.

Great Grandmother to Ellie Kinisu, Eliana Kinisu, Edwin Kinyanjui, John Kinyanjui and Sarah Michelle Kinyanjui. Sister to the late Benson Macharia and Eunice Muthoni Mwai. Sister-in-law to the late Joseph Waweru Kibuchi, the late Alice Wambui Mutugi, Grace Nyambura Njoroge, the late Leah Wairimu Ndumia, John Muriuki Kibuchi and Stephen Murage Kibuchi. She was an auntie and grandmother to many.

Prayers will be held at Mr. & Mrs. Keriri’s Nairobi residence on Thursday January 28th and Friday January 29th from 5PM. Contributions can be sent to Mpesa Till No.5589637.

The body will leave Lee Funeral Home at 6.30 am on Tuesday, 2 February 2021 for a memorial service at ACK Kiamaina Church in Mutira Location, Kirinyaga County at 10AM followed by internment at her Gathambi home. Mourners are requested to observe all Ministry of Health COVID-19 protocols.
