Janet Wanjiku Ngaruiya
It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Elder Janet Wanjiku Ngaruiya of PCEA Kayole Parish which occurred on Friday 12th October 2018 at Nairobi South Hospital after a short illness.
Wife of Peter Ngaruiya Gicharu. Mother of Dennis Gicharu, Eunice Wanjiku (USA) and Maryanne Njeri. Daughter of the late Daniel Magothe Gathecha and Hannah Njeri Magothe. Sister of Margaret Wambui (KU), James Gathecha (Roger), Njoroge, Richard, the late Rahab Njeri, Peninah and Samuel Ndungu. Daughter-in-law of the late Stanley Gicharu Karau and the late Eunice Wanjiku Gicharu and Rahab Nyokabi Gicharu. Sister-in-law of Nduta Mukui,the late Karau Gicharu, Ng’ang’a Gicharu, Gitau,Wangari (USA), Njeri, Jeff, the late Kangere, Ng’endo, Waithera, Njenga, Bunyi, Jack, Karau, Ngaruiya, Nduta, Mrs Margaret Karau among others. Cousin and Aunty of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her residence in Saika Estate, off Kangundo Road (HSE No. 502) and at Impala Hotel Parklands Nairobi for funeral arrangements from 6:00pm.
Daily prayers are being held at PCEA Kayole Church from 7:00pm and a memorial service will be held on Sunday 21st October 2018 at 3:00pm at the same Church.
There will be a fundraising function to meet her medical and funeral expenses at Impala Hotel on Friday 19Th October 2018 from 6:00pm.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home at 8:00am on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 and thereafter burial service at PCEA Karia Church, lkinu Location, Githunguri Sub-county, Kiambu County. The burial ceremony will follow at her husband’s farm in Gothoka, Karia Village.
