It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of John Bosco Mwangi Maina (JB) Formerly of Kenya Airways which occurred on 4th December 2020 at Mater Hospital.

Son of the late Thudo Gatauwa (Former Mau Mau General) and Late Rispher Wambui. Beloved husband of Philomena Wambui Maina and Eunice Nyawira Mwangi of Buru Buru Estate Nairobi. Father of Leonard Maina, Dr. Njeri Mwangi (KNH), Antony Gitu (Madison Insurance), Pauline Waceke, Hilda Wambui, Joyce Nyakweya, father in Law of Ruth Wanjiru Gitu (Pioneer Insurance), Grandfather of Kya Mumbi, Nathan Mwangi, Kian Mvuria, Amaica Mwangi.

Son-in-law of the late Anthony Gitu Kimari and Late Pauline Wacheke Gitu, late Geoffrey Wachiuri Wachira and Joyce Nyakweya Wachiuri,

Brother of Margaret Wanjiru, brother in Law of the Late Andrew Njagi, the late Samuel Kimari Gitu, Florence Muthoni, Charles Kagera, Tirus Gitahi, Wachira Gikonyo, Virginia Maina, Grace Wambui. Uncle of the late Eunice Wairimu, Elijah Wanyiri, Bernard Maina, Simon Ndungu, John Mwangi, Peter Kiama. Cousin of John Macharia (Safaricom), Muturi, Githua, Gichuki, Bethwel Mbuthia, Maina Waigwa, Leah Wangare, Agnes Wambui,Wanyeki Ndirangu, Nyaguthii Ndirangu, Thuo Nderitu among others.

Friends and family members are meeting daily at Jimlizer Hotel Buru Buru daily at 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements, there will be requiem mass on Thursday 10/12/2020 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church BururBuru Phase 3 from 2-3Pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Thika road branch) on Saturday 12th December 2020 at 7:00am for funeral service and burial thereafter at his farm in Mwereri Kamatongu Mweiga, Nyeri County.
