John Ochieng Atek

It is with humble acceptance of the Lord’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr. John Ochieng Atek of Kajimbo Rachier Sub-location, Nyakach Sub County, Kisumu County.

Beloved Husband to Mama Siprosa Adoyo Ochieng. Son of the late Philip Atek and the late Elizabeth Orwenje Atek. Son-in-Law of the late Charles Ondigo and the late Christabel Ondigo.

Father to the late Vallentine Odhiambo, PS Jerome Ochieng, Scholastica Malit, Concile Owour, Sr. Celestine Anyango and Victor Ochieng. Father-in-law to Lavender Odhiambo, Prisca Ochieng, George Malit, the late Stephen Owour and Christine Ouma.

Grandfather to Philip, Alphonse, Edna, Michael, Hellen, Lienora, Eileen, Benjamin, Laureen, Debbie, Genevieve, Gregory and Raphaela.

Brother to the late Asman Awino, the late Michael Ongili and Agnes Amimo.

Family and Friends are meeting daily in Membley Estate and K’olweny in Nyakach for prayers.

There will be a requiem mass at St. Lucia Catholic Church – Membley on Wednesday, 19th October at 2.00pm.

A harambee is scheduled for Tuesday, 18th October 2022 at All Saints Cathedral starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Funeral Home, on Friday, 21st October 2022 and will be laid to rest on Saturday October 22nd 2022, at his home in Nyakach lower Kajimbo, Kolweny stage, Rachier Primary School.
