It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joseph “Joe” Kadenge on Sunday 7th July, 2019 at Meridian Hospital after a long illness bravely borne. He hails from Soliani village Gisambai Location Vihiga County.

He is a son of the late Alfayo Omunzi and the late Keziari Imbwaga. Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ubaga and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kang’ethe Mwatha usband of Mabel Kamonya and Maria Kang’ethe. Father of Beatrice, late Francis, Joyce, Evans (Nzoia Sugar), Wycliffe, Rodgers, Susan (UK) James, Violet, Late Eva and Oscar Kadenge.

Brother of the late Timonah, late Madonye, late Igaire, John Anzrah, Esther Kavaya, George Idagiza. Father-in-law of late David Opeya, late Anne, John Kemoli, Petronilla (principal-Mabuusi Secondary School), Getrude, Florence, Zaituni Masaba, James Vutiti, Hoskins (USA) and Pamela. He was uncle of many and leaves behind 40 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Daily meetings and prayers are being held at his home in Mariakani Estate and Soliani home from 4.00pm.

There shall be a fundraiser on Tuesday, 16th July 2019 at Charter Hall (City Hall) at 4.00pm led by all former football legends.

There shall be a requiem mass on Wednesday, 17th July 2019 at 10.00am at Friends International Centre, Ngong Road.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 18th July, 2019 and airlifted to Bukhungu stadium Kakamega, later driven to his Gisambai home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 20th July, 2019 at 9.00am at Gisambai Primary School near Sosa cottage. Thereafter burial will take place at his home in Soliani Village.

2nd Timothy 4:7 ” You have fought a good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith.”

In God’s hands you rest in our hearts you live forever. Amen.
