Joseph Kamau Wainaina

It’s with great sorrow we announce the death of Late Joseph Kamau Wainaina on 11/01/2020. He was born on 2/8/1924, Ruiru Tetu Estate. He was a member of Gikuyu Elder (Kiama kia Ma) Ruai Branch as a community counselor (Muheani wa Kiriira).

Son of the late Francis Wainaina and Mary Mugure, Brother of the late Karugi, the late Chege, the late Nyakairu, Ndichu, Wairimu, Njoki, Wanjiru and the late Mirano. Husband of Susan Njoki and Hannah Njambi. Father of Wanjiru, Mugure, Wainaina, Murugi, Pst Njoroge, the late Chege, the late Wanjiku, Nyakairu, Muhia, Njeri, Ndichu (Papa),Wairimu, Wambui, Wainaina, Gitau, and Mugure. Grandfather of Muigai, Kamau, Njoki, Ndungu, Joy, Kevin, Ken, and many others and great-grandfather of many.

Friends and family are meeting every day from 6:00pm at Millennium 2000 Hotel Nyamakima and Home at Githima Village.

Cortege leaves Bishop Mukoe Funeral Home Thika on Friday 17/01/2020 and burial at his farm Munyu, Thika sub county, Kiambu County, Githima Village.
