It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of the late Joyce Wangari Kimari (Wa-Shem), which occurred on 09/12/2019.

Wife of the late sub-chief James Kimari Gitere. Co-wife of the late Loise Wanjiru Kimari. Mother of the late David Gitere Kimari, the late Joyce Wacu Wanjohi, Florence Wangui Gaturu, Charity Waceke Kimari, Ruth Njeri Kimari, Winnie Wanjiru Kimari and Shem Kihoro Kimari. She is also a mother to Elizabeth Wacu Njuguna, Diana Wambui Kamau, Jemimah Waceke Kimari, the late Samuel Rudolf Gitere Kimari and George Kamau Kimari. Sister of the late Ruth Njeri Kamau, the late Elizabeth Gathoni Mungai, Rahab Nyambura Kimani, Joyce Wambui, the late Hannah Ngima, Monicah Wanjiru (Wa-Michael), Ruth Ruguru Shem, Daniel Kariuki Shem and Naomi Nyandia Mwaniki. She is also a grandmother, a Great-grandmother and a Great-great-grandmother to many.

Funeral arrangements are being held every day at Kiairia Sub-location, Kiangima village (Jamaica) from 2.00pm, onwards.

Burial will be held on 19/12/2019. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Parlour, at 9.00am, for a funeral service at PCEA, Ayub Kinyua Church, Githunguri at 11.00am.Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Kiangima village (Jamaica) Kiairia Sub-location.
