It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear mother Joyce Wanjiru Karuri, that occurred on 4th October, 2019 in Njoro.

Wife of the late Paul Karuri Wairegi of Mwigito Farm, Njoro. Daughter of the late Kamau Mwaura and the late Hannah Njeri Kamau. Co-wife of the late Mary Njoki Karuri and the late Tabitha Wambui Karuri. Mother of Julius Wairegi (Free Area), Mary Njeri Kuria (Naivasha), the late John Kamau, Hannah Kinyanjui, Jane Wangeci, the late Ng’ang’a, the late Wanjiku, Lucy Nyokabi,Veronicah Wangui Kinyanjui (Narok) and the late Benjamin Mwaura. Step-mother of Frederick Wairegi (Mombasa), Joe Ngugi (Lanet), the late Margaret Wanjiru Gicheha (Likia), the late Ng’ang’a, Nicholas Gachoka, James Gakure (Naivasha), Stephen Wairegi, the late Grace Wanjiru, Joseph Wainaina, Esther Muthoni, Agnes Joyce Wanjiru Karuri Wangeci Macharia, Benson Ng’ang’a, David Njenga, Harrison Gakure, the late Samuel Kuria, Peter Mwangi and Joshua Njoroge. Sister of the late Mwaura, the late Thuku, George Gachihi, the late Kiarie, the late Wanjiku, the late Mburu, Monica Nyokabi and Esther Mugure.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Mwigito behind Egerton University Njoro.

The cortege leaves Egerton Funeral Home, on Friday 11th October, 2019 at 9:00am for a funeral service and burial at her Mwigito Farm.
